Weather

BKN skies with temps near or above 50F. Light winds out of the SW,

Snowpack

The top two inches of the snowpack were moist to wet melt forms. The four inches below that were moist melt forms, with dust from the recent dust event present in the in the middle of this layer. Below this the snow remained dry and cold with pencil to 1F hard rounds. Depth hoar at the bottom of the snowpack is starting to round. ECTN results below the moist snow in the upper snowpack and there is no evidence of water percolating into the snowpack yet. The only places I found significant evidence of the recent warm temperatures were near larger rock outcrops, where the snowpack was trap-door like.

Avalanche

No significant new activity out of the west side banks today--cloud cover may have helped.
