Skied at Cain all weekend. SATURDAY observed a 2 slabs in cain WEST bowl, about 15 cm thick each overlying a thicker crust. Both slabs where reactive in the morning but by the afternoon had become one slab. EAST bowl was cohesive and gave great spring skiing until mid afternoon, giving way to some small (<0.25) wet slab action. SUNDAY: all SE facing aspects were hard as rocks after the overnight freeze. We checked out the WEST bowl again and found the top (15 cm) slab was once again reactive to hand shears but didnt seem to have any propagation. the lower slab was now well bonded to the lower big crust and would not budge. We skied in the west bowl all day, by mid afternoon the snow was wet and heavy and some small wet slab action was observed on steep slopes. We also noted 2 sz 1.5 avalanches in the Cain east bowl on Sunday morning from sometime on Saturday, looked wet and loose.
