Great weather conditions. Recent activity led us to stick to lower angle mellow terrain. Snow above 1750 on N aspects had some wind blown crust buried 40-60cm down which was touchy on more loaded areas like convexities. Because of the wind switching it's hard to predict where wind loading will be so good to be vigilant everywhere. Otherwise amazing powder skiing!

A quick pit at 1800 showed a buried wind crust with surface hoar directly below at approx 40-60 cm depth. Newer snow on top varied in density and weight but elevations higher than 1700 it was more cohesive and the crust below it more pronounced. Directly below the wind crus is fist density for 20cm. Compression test had moderate results with the crust collapsing on the surface hoar below and creating a fair sliding surface. Extended column collapsed the same layer, same depth as CT with no propagation. Below 1700 the crust disappears (less wind affected) making for excellent powder skiing. CTM3 RP down 50 and ECTN22 same characteristic.
