Observed whoompfing and long shooting cracks on a relatively low angle (<20 deg) slope just outside resort boundary. Failures seemed to be propagating on a recent ~10-cm thick wind slab, but the whoompfs likely indicated unobserved deeper instabilites. We didn't do a formal snowpack assessment. We also received first- and second-hand reports of snowboarder-triggerd slab avalanches in the West bowl on both Saturday and Sunday. Hopefully those involved will submit separate MIN reports. We did observe one of the resultant crowns from the bottom of 3 o'clock trees. Looked to be size ~1.5.
