Snow depth was variable but we found good skiing on west and south aspects, less steep terrain was skiing better. North and east had less snow and midpack. Not much of a midpack generally, hit a few rocks. Hero pow when you didn't hit rocks. Depth of snow declined rapidly when driving down the road. Saw four loose snow avalanches to size 1.5 out of extreme terrain on the east aspect of Mt Pocatera triggered by sun and later by the wind. And a couple small loose .5 avalanches on protected south aspects from the sun.
