High 20s, overcast, calm, light snow that tapered off during my tour.
Snowpack
Dug a snowpit and performed an ECT at 8000ft on a 36 deg NNW (325deg) slope. HS 145cm, found ~15cm fist hard new snow on top of a 4cm finger hard layer and softer 4F snow beneath that. Snowpack appeared and felt homogenous beneath the finger hard layer, gradually increasing in density along the height of the snowpack. Old facets at the bottom of the snowpack were rounding. Able to create a snowball out of them. I assume the thin finger hard layer near the top of the snowpack was from the small wind event a few days back. ECTN5 below the wind crust. Continuation yielded nothing ECTX.
