Snowpack

Monarch Pass received 37 inches of snow from December 28 through January 4. This snow fell on a shallow and weak snow pack. The storm cycle started with warm temperatures and dense snow and transitioned into colder and less dense snow over the course of the week delivering a generally "right side up" layer of new snow. I measured a total height of snow at this location of 130 cm.
