McMillian Peak West 12400 Strong wind slab at upper elevations and near ridges. Wind slab was 1-5in thick in areas. Isolated cracking underfoot. No shooting cracks observed

Avalanche

Observed 2 wet loose avalanches while driving along Highway 550 towards Red Mtn Pass. The two avalanches were on SE and SW aspects. Both were D1/R1 Saw one avalanche likely from yesterday along our skin track near McMillian peak. This was a small wet loose avalanche on a West aspect. D1/R1
