Weather
Cold and clear morning. The day started around 0 degrees at 11,700ft, but was up to 10 degrees by the time we were skiing. Moderate winds blowing from the west through the pass. A skintrack from people who had passed through 3 hours prior was mostly filled with snow already in some places.
Snowpack
Had snowed about 10-12 inches over the past 3 days with very light and fluffy snow on the 23rd and especially the 24th, with slightly denser snow falling on the 25th. Obvious signs of wind drift everywhere with east and south facing slopes showing cornices. Did not dig any pits.
Avalanche
Observed 5 small avalanches that ran sometime between the evening of the 22nd and the morning of the 26th. Elevation for all was between 11,400 and 11,800 All 5 were on S or SW aspects and looked to be mainly new snow / wind drifted snow with no big crowns.
