Weather

Cold temps with moderate winds from the west. Active wind loading could be seen as precipitation was steady at up to 1cm/hour.

Snowpack

Height of snow averaged 90cm on east facing terrain below treeline. Poor snowpack structure was evident. A Snow profile revealed a soft upper snowpack (F), a hard mid pack (1F), resting on top of a mixture of crusts and depth hoar. Despite repeatable hard ECT results, large collapses were observed with one collapse seemingly entraining the majority of the slope.
