Weather

A sunny and warm day in February. There was just enough wind to keep snow surfaces and temperatures cool near treeline.

Snowpack

The surface snow (top 10-20 cm)was wet on near and below treeline slopes with a southerly tilt. Near treeline on northeasterly-facing slope, the total snow depth is about 200 centimeters. The buried surface facet layers from 2/1 are still present but unreactive. The surface in exposed areas is mostly windpressed with a thin layer of faces on top. Farther below treeline, the surface facets make up the top 10-20 centimeters.
