Weather
Winds were elevated from the start of my tour at 0700. Calm at the truck but the scattered cloud cover was moving fast from the southwest. The temperature stayed realtivley cool through the morning at or just below freezing.
Avalanche
Two small loose wet avalanches out of the rocky terrain that faces east in the Green Mountain West Highway avalanche path. Both size 1 on the destructive scale and may have occured Monday (4/29) afternoon after the the strong end of April storm brought over a foot to Independence Pass. Monday the 29th was clear and relatively warm after that storm.
