Weather
Moderate to strong southwest winds. Partly cloudy skies. Warm temperatures out of the wind.
Snowpack
Pocket of recently drifted snow were reactive to ski pressure on steep slopes. Most open slopes had a curst from the day prior except protected below treeline slopes and slopes that face north. The stout curst made for challenging trail breaking on high alpine sunny slopes. The snow surface was stiffing on north slopes compared to the last few days higher up but still soft lower on slope.
Avalanche
We triggered a small pocket of drifted snow in the Serpent around 50 feet from the top of the ridge. The pocket broke an pulled a skier off there feet, but they were able to self arrest and only pulled 10 feet downhill.
