Weather

Gorgeous bluebird day. Winds were calm in the AM increasing to Mod SW by late PM. Temps rose to near freezing levels.

Snowpack

Traveled primarily on S and N facing terrain between 9000 and 10200, below treeline. HS 250-300cm on N facing terrain. HN48 35cm & HN72 55cm of light density snow. Powdercats also reporting similar amounts (HST 22?) on Soda over the same 72hr period. No results in stability tests on N asp @ 9700, 35*: ECTX, CTN.

Avalanche

Lots of natural activity on S facing slopes as soon as the sun came out resulting in multiple Loose Dry’s to Sz 2.
