Snowpack
The last storm that brought ample snow to the region (especially Red Mt Pass), largely missed the CO 145 corridor. As a result, the dusty snow layer from the previous storm is showing through on sunny, lower elevation slopes. While the pink layer is hastening melt in some areas, the snowpack in the area remains cold and wintry. Paths are very slowly losing volume with only modest snowfall since the new year. However, the structure remains quite weak and paths will not tolerate a heavy/fast load.
