Weather

Scattered clouds. Low to mod winds from (mostly) SW, although *highly variable* wind patterns. Gusts up to 30 mph @ 13k.

Snowpack

Supportable snow on solar aspects, (even skiing out at noon). Northerly’s had good powder. Wind slabs developing above treeline, & on leeward aspects. A lot of snow transport witnessed today.

Avalanche

D1 wind slab in apron of couloir on east face of Cathedral, 13k. Enough to knock you off your feet and get carried short ways if you weren’t ready.
