It was hard to determine whether it was snowing or just blowing. There had been fresh snow as it was being transported to create some thin and very sensitive slabs.
Snowpack
Where you find poor structure, weak facets at the base with a slab, we were getting failures in snow pack tests. However this structure is not widespread. There is a new wind slab developing on the surface which is currently too thin and weak to propagate but when it thickens it could be a problem. Below tree line on north aspects the snow is 5-20" deep, faceted and weak
