Overcast and snowing lightly 8AM - 3PM. Wind from W and SW, gusting to 25mph. Significant snow transport over the ridge onto east facing slopes.
Snowpack
No pit dug, but obvious and frequent wind/storm cracks observed at all elevations and aspects. Snow depth variable but measured low of 40 cm near ridge top to over 100 cm in flat areas below the ridge.
Avalanche
None observed or reported by the dozen or so riders in the area, but propagating cracks noted everywhere. Collapse noted in several flat areas at and below treeline. Elevation 11,400’ (top of Montgomery Bowl) to Zimmerman Lake parking lot at 10,000’.
