Weather

Cold start to the day with temperatures in the high teens. Warmed to upper 20s by 10:00AM and sunny with broken sky coverage increasing throughout the day. Overcast sky by noon and snow began around 1:00PM (S-1).

Snowpack

Buried surface hoar everywhere I travelled today. Average density of new snow from Monday night was 112 kg/m^3 and 5 cm thick on top of well developed surface hoar[SH]. Underneath the buried SH was facets to the ground. Slopes facing slightly south (that had consistent snow cover) had a thin and unsupportive crust underneath the buried SH.
