6-12" Fresh storm snow on top of weak faceted layer. E and SE aspects had varying crust layers below 3-6" of storm snow.
Avalanche
We were skinning up the ridge planning to ski SE slopes. In first image you can see fracture from just a few feet away from out skin track. Remote trigger that propagated up the slope and around the NE facing chute in this area. 12,300 Feet, NE Chutes / Face of Peak 1. Estimate R3D2 No skier involved
