Originally planned to skin up to the Blackcomb/spearhead col and a run down to diseas ridge or body bag bowl. Visibility was very poor, and we didn’t feel comfortable heading up into the white room with no view of overhead hazards. Made a quick travers along upper edges of blackcomb glacier stealing turns where we could. Had several small (less than 30cm deep) wind slabs release on a crust layer. Mostly on N /NW aspects, in convex areas. Skinned up from the base of the poopchutes through the trees to find some fun turns. Snow was very wet within the trees (trapped moisture perhaps or heat from the trees? Elevation was similar to lower spanks ladder, which was bone dry.) despite the wet/firm feeling on the way up snow skied amazing, nice and fast and we sank down at all the right parts of our turn. Some small natural sluffs came down from the shallow rocky start zone above the trees portion of the runs. Will have to come back for a day when we can ski the zone from top to bottom.
