Dug a couple of Snow pits at the top of the bow summit trail during the AST2 course. CT failed at 14 down to deep persistent layer repeatedly. Very firm solid snow layer above the weak facet layer at the bottom. Little to no wind slab evident in the snow pack. Warm weather over Christmas has greatly improved the snow above the deep persistent weak layer. Typical Rocky snow pack, inverted.
