Ground hog lake Went roughly 1.2 km south east of ground hog to base of my Agnes Position 10u 597793. 5873763 Dug pit South aspect 1850 m elevation 185 cm snow depth 30% incline Wind from n to s in our area swirling in my Agnes bowl Temp -8 Overcast CTM 12 caused 3 small sudden planar 5 cm apart from 160 to 150 cm New snow is slowly bonding Foot penetration 31 cm 185 to 165 fist 165 to 152 4 finger 152 to 137 1 finger 137 to 77 1 finger 77 to 20 4 finger 20 to ground knife (ice ) Didn’t get time to look at snow crystals Looking south across bowl to my Agnes remnants of avalanche from couple weeks or longer ago .(was up last week and saw debris ) Fun day riding
