Beautiful day up Little Sand above the clouds. Cold at the staging area but 0C near 2000m. Large surface hoar (+/-5cm) at valley bottom in open trees as well as on gladed ridges and slopes, all aspects. Open slopes were wind hammered. Several natural avalanches visible in steep, south / south east facing aspects in alpine start zones up to sz 1-2.
