Powder King surprised us with a lot more snow than forecasted. Moderate southerly winds were moving snow at ridge crest. We used small low-consequence features to check for windslabs and found them. They were already 25cm deep and really easy to trigger with skis. We found some good powder skiing in the trees above 1400m.

Windslabs are building on North to East facing lee slopes. 25cm storm snow by noon. The melt freeze crust can still be felt below 1400m.
