Had a few small shooting cracks and one whumpf on the skin up. Snow pack is still too thin at lower elevations in the area. Top of Pennask has better coverage. Dug a pit close to top. Base was 120cm in the area. Had 2 failures. First was about 35cm down on a layer of hoar, failed at 5th hit from elbow. Second was at about 100cm facets below a very thin ice crust layer, failed at 2 hits from the shoulder.
