Skied up from the water treatment plant on Alta Lake Road. Great coverage on the skin track, able to ski out. Observed only one sign of instability with a shooting crack and whumpf on a NW facing, wind loaded convexity at the 1720m level with limited support underneath it. Emanated from my ski tip as crossing above it, tried to release it, but it did not move. Would’ve moved if we skied over it, but we kept going. Skied down north facing slopes and gulleys and observed no instabilities. Knee deep dry powder.
