Spent two nights at Shangrila. Skied Aberhart's Nose and had some fantastic skiing. Dug a pit (E aspect) and HS was 77cm. CTE5 down 20cm RP, CTM 15 down 40cm RP. No instabilities were observed. The snowpack was surprisingly supportive, ski penetration was about 20cm. On our third day, the winds and temperature had increased and natural avalanches were observed by Snowshoe Pass. Higher up on Aberhart, a soft wind crust was developing.
