Avalanche

A recent large Persistent Slab avalanche ran on a northeast-facing slope in the Tenmile Range. Recent snow surface temperature observations suggest very little meltwater is moving in the snowpack on upper-elevation north-facing slopes. So although it's warm, and we are concerned about Wet Slab avalanches, this appears to be a dry Persistent Slab avalanche triggered by warming.
