Test Flight

Today some of the NoRo team got out to shake off the rust and scope things out in one of our frequently visited spots We spent the day troubleshooting sleds, getting a look at the snowpack and getting back into sledding. The trail into Bijoux is pretty good with about 1m of snow above 1100m. Recent NE winds have been scrubbing the alpine and things up high are still pretty bony. We were definitely careful of rocks and logs hidden in the shallow snow, but overall it looks like its shaping up to be a good start to the season!

Extended column test had a hard result that did not fully propagate (40% of column) just below a thick crust in a layer facets. No signs of the surface hoar layer were found in this profile.
