Kirkup North Side

Approach to n side is not recommended. Still very rocky. Not so bad up but nasty going down. Good skiing above 1800m. We did a pit with a column shear test (heights from top of snow) and found pretty much what we'd been hearing about: 10cm F, 7 compression test in new blower snow 20cm 4F, 9 - i suspect on surface hoar from a few days ago 60cm 1F, 22 on facets above ice 120cm on ground K - ice crusts - the top one 10cm thick
