Kees and Claire Hut

Spent Friday through Sunday at the KC hut. Friday was a beautiful day, we arrived at the hut and familiarized ourselves with the area and skied some short but fun laps above Russet Lake. Saturday's storm was quite intense and we only got out for brief walks around the hut that day. On Sunday we observed widespread wind-scouring around the general area of the hut. Temperatures were quite cold (Around -10 when we returned to get our overnight packs at 1:30pm). Cowboy Ridge was wind affected as well but we found some sheltered areas skiers left (closer to the hut) that rode well. Curiously, we saw no evidence of avalanche activity, except the old crown on Cowboy that was reported earlier in the week.
