A quick pit showed three distinct, thin wind slabs which failed easily with a compression test. We didn't experience any real shooting cracks or obvious failures while skiing some of the trees, but the wind's affect was evident, scouring alpine slopes and loading the treeline. Good skiing in the trees, but the alpine was a no go for us that day.
