Sunny side of English

Went for a walk in the sun and some nice views of Davis. Snow was a bit of everything - crust on directly solar aspects, hard slab on wind exposed ridgetops, and well preserved powder in shady, wind sheltered areas. Surface hoar up to 1.5cm widespread between 1200-1500 m. Dug in a burn on a southwesterly aspect at 1900m. Moderate to hard resistant planar results on a couple close proximity facet/surface hoar/crust layers about 30cm deep. A few roller balls coming down steep solar aspects but no other signs of instability. Heli ski lines were heavily shnoodled. Maybe it'll snow again one day. But no complaints here ??
