Weather
Clouds well below peak level until. Broke up during the afternoon and temps rose. Winds light (0-5 mph) from west at ridgelines.
Snowpack
Storm snow settled fast and rapidly become moist at the surface where sun exposed at least to 12500 ft. No signs of wind transport/ drifting in West Willow Creek or East Snowmass Creek. Old temp/ thermal crusts under new snow at 12000. New snow insulated wet snow to about 10500-11000 feet. Snow underneath remained moist and weak.
Avalanche
No fresh avalanches involving storm snow in West Willow. 1 small storm slab on steep, unsupported slope on ridge south of Garrett Peak. Crown just above rocks; debris ran down through very steep rocks and into gully below.
