Weather

Bloody cold day. Skis were covered by thin dark clouds and winds were light.

Snowpack

120-180 in areas I traveled in today. I was impressed by the amount of snow below treeline. The new snow from this weekend has settled to the top 10"-18" of the upper snowpack. The new snow seems to have compressed the snowpack and though there are density changes between layers they are less than one change in hardness. The bottom of the snowpack consist of 10cm's of moist facets.

Avalanche

I observed AE triggered avalanches on south facing slopes above Ophir road. Most look as if they were D 2.5 and bigger. Hoping to obtain more information.
