Snowpack
Last three days out touring, exclusively on southerly slopes, interesting to see transition. Thursday slight moistening by mid-afternoon, yesterday surfaces were approaching wet on 20-30º slopes by 1400, today snow had become moist by 1000, and wet by 1200 on big south facing red coon meadows. Pronounced crusts both on surface, and below 4-6" of recent snow that has recently settled. No signs of instability, but was playing conservative on steeper convex slopes of Red Coon, however unlikely a slide could be, informal pole pokes did indicate poor structure and weak snow near ground. Average HS 100-120cm
