Weather

The day started with partly cloudy skies and very light snowfall but by noon the storm had reemerged and the sky was completely overcast with at least two centimeters an hour of heavier and wetter snow falling across the area.

Snowpack

We had a supportive upper layer of new snow (10cm ski pen) from the most recent storm on top of either a faceted snowpack in the lower elevations or windpacked slabs on top of facets above tree line on N-E-S aspects.

No avalanches observed.
