Snowpack

Wind scoured all aspects ATL, with only isolated cross loaded terrain features holding fresher storm slabs. Near TL; complex loading. String S-Sw winds have built stiffer winds slabs below the storm snow. 8" HN24. This has drifted into about 18" on lee ward aspects: north through east. Open areas near TL also scoured. Blown in deep in more sheltered areas, and storm slab rapidly stiffening. Cracking below skis as you traveled. BTL, less pronounced stiffening of storm slab, and not yet cracking. New snow not bonding well to old mixed bag of variable sun and temp crust snow surfaces.
