Snowpack

Steeper slopes facing the sun continue to melt and refreeze. Most significant observation today was the growth of surface hoar in open areas on the valley floor of Washington Gulch and on open NE facing slopes up to 35 degrees. I did not explore anything steeper. Valley floor SH is 2+ CM. SH on slopes is less developed but still around 1 CM in size. No signs of instability in the snowpack observed.
