Compression tests in two pits on ENE asp to investigate PS problem locally. Repeatable CTH (23-26) down 63 cm sudden planar on facets over 180222 MFcr. One CTH (23) down 122 sudden collapse on facets on 180106 MFcr complex. In all cases SP or SC the block slid very easily. While this layer seems unlikely to release under the weight of a single rider, the consequences would be serious. Pit location, etc. 1890m ENE 24 degrees Height of snow = 260cm.
