Weather

Calm near and below treeline with strong gusts. Above treeline winds were lightly loading leeward slopes. S-1 on and off throughout the tour. Skies clearing as I drove home.

Snowpack

On N-NE aspects below treeline there is very little slab quality. When skiing, the pack does support the weight of a skier until till around 10,500 ft, but boot pen is to ground. HS 60-80cm On South aspects below treeline a thin crust developed prior to last weeks storm. You can also find multiple crust facet layers at the bottom of the pack. HS 40-60cm Large pockets of wind-drifted snow exists below ridgelines east and southeast aspects.
