Weather

Sub-freezing temps in valley bottom early morning. Near to slightly above freezing temps on summit ridge mid-morning. Few clouds first thing, but cumulus building early afternoon. Winds gusty above treeline but not mixing down much.

Snowpack

Continuous snow above 10000 feet on shady slopes. Not so on sunny slopes.

Avalanche

Widespread natural loose avalanche cycle Monday 5-11. Mostly out of/ below steep, rocky terrain. Debris we crossed firsthand had refrozen; guessing many/ most slides LW. Mostly E, NE aspects.
