Weather

Heavy snow in a.m. (S2-S-5). Moderate to strong W-WSW winds (10-20). 9800 ft. Snow intensity let off a good bit by late afternoon.

Snowpack

Brief ski and look into the pack gave us numerous collapses. Small ski cuts resulted in Mod. cracking. Mostly NW aspects skied today. About 80-90cm depth. Almost 60 of which is from this storm cycle. Seems to be failing both on old snow interface as well as basal facet layer. (Just some cuts and arm-pits).
