Weather
Strong wind earlier in the day. During observation the near-treeline winds were less than 10 mph from the south. Very light snow and overcast sky. Temperatures were cooling off at the end of the day.
Snowpack
Around 40 cm of snow at 10,000' and 90 cm of snow at 11,000'.</br> The snowpack was surprisingly strong with predominately rounded grains, with one notable exception. There is a clean planer brake at about 60 cm. The layer was hard to identify in the snow-pit wall, but easy to see in Compression tests. It contained 2 mm striaghted crystals and some 6-sided cups. With this notable exception, the rest of the profile was quite strong despite several very thin crusts.
