Mild, but windy above tl. Very little loose snow available for transport.

VARIABLE. We traveled on a variety of aspects and elevations today and found a real mixed bag out there. Lots of wind damage. A spell of strong northerly winds over the weekend created quite a bit of hard slab near and above treeline (where lots of wind slab already existed). Oddly, we also found 4"-6" surface windslab and even some sastrugi in densly treed north woods (see pics). However, deposition is somewhat patchier there and the slab is less contiguous.
