*Information of slide sent to CAIC* "Two of us skied it carefully with no unmanageable sluff nor any other movement of the snow. The two stopped at a small group of trees just east of the flat area at the bottom of the slope. They were probably 30 feet away from the north wall. I skied down and was approaching the others slowly across the flat spot below the slope (about 40ft from the wall) when I was hit with a slide from above. This was not from the slope we had skied but from somewhere high above on the cliffs of Hallett. I was pushed about 60 feet down the low angle start of the north facing slope away from the wall through some small trees heading towards Emerald Lk. I was not buried but sustained some nasty injuries to the face. I found both skis and 1 pole in the debris that was about 100-125 ft long, 30 ft wide and up to 4 ft deep. There was no starting zone, no crown, as the release was from somewhere above. We skied out on our own.
