Weather

Day started with mostly cloudy to overcast skies. Snow flurries started around 11. When we skied around 2 pm there was ~4-6 inches new. Visibility was challenging to say the least.

Snowpack

Burst of new snow not bonding well to old snow surface. Snow was wetter than previous storms.

Avalanche

Storm snow moving on Stammberger face. Moving with a surprising amount of energy. Enough to knock you over and take you for a nasty ride, if caught. Appeared to be an R1.5 D 1.5 soft slab. Skier not caught.
