Weather

Light snow ended soon after tour began and skies continued to clear throughout day. Winds picked up during day with light snow transport observed at ridge tops by 11am. Temperatures rose rapidly from 27F to 346F by end of tour.

Snowpack

Todays snow bonded well to the old snow surface, and settled rapidly from a fluffy 9"s to a sticky 5" by midday. No signs of instability noted, however would have expected small Wet Loose from steep south facing terrain by mid afternoon. Noted fresh wind drifts and cross-loading high in start zones on Star Mtn (North-northeast slopes above treeline).
