Snowpack
Snowpack: Storm snow about 6-10." Evidence of minor windloading along ridgeline, but very little slabbiness to the new snow, although it was quickly settling at lower elevations with warming. The storm snow interface (DF particles) showed good bonding with handpits/ ski cuts. Snowpack is still dry throughout, with the usual suspects felt towards the bottom of the snowpack with probing, HS varied from 3ft to 6ft. Avalanches: Skier triggered a few sluffs within the storm snow (D1's). Saw one natural soft slab that went yesterday on an east aspect near treeline, estimated 50 ft wide and 12" deep, most likely failing on a melt-freeze crust that formed before the storm. SS-N-R1/D1-I.
